DO 1. Listen to what your teacher says 2. Keep the laboratory clean at all times 3. Wear safety goggles to protect ur eyes when heating 4. Tell your teacher if u spill anything 5. Wash your hands after doing any experiments DO NOT 1. Do not go into the laboratory without your teacher's permission 2. Do not eat or drink in the laboratory 3. Do not taste any chemicals 4. Do not play or run in the laboratory 5. Do not place anything solid into the sink 6. Do not pour any unused chemicals back into their containers as this may cause contamination EXAMPLES OF DIFFERENT BRANCHES OF SCIENCE 1. Biology - The study of living things 2. Agriculture - The study of farming 3. Geology - The study of rocks and the Earth's structure 4. Physics - The study of forces and energy 5. Chemistry - The study of substances HAZARD WARNING SYMBOLS 1. Radioactive Substances - Harmful rays or substance that can kill living cells 2. Biohazard - Put outside the door or container where harmful living things are stored 3. Toxic - These substances is poisonous if breathed, swallowed or absorbed through the skin 4. Corrosive - These substance destroy living tissue including the skin and eyes 5. Harmful and irritating substances - This substances involves a health risk and irritates the skin 6. Flammable - These substances can easily ignite and burn 7. Oxidising - These substances provides oxygen to let fire burn more fiercely Technology is the application of science knowledge.
